Breakfast foods, lunch dishes and cocktails – what a concept. Perhaps you weren’t daydreaming about a brunch and beverage combo before, but now that I’ve brought it up, you may be intrigued. Well, it turns out that several establishments in the metro Detroit area offer all of the above. Here is where to find them:

La Dolce Vita

Whenever the weather finally warms up, La Dolce Vita has one of the best patios in Detroit. The restaurant offers a full bar, countless brunch options from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and also a brunch banquet menu option. There is a second location Shelby Township.

5ive Restaurant

Located at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, 5ive Restaurant offers quite the selection of brunch cocktails. The Breakfast Margarita sounds awfully enticing with Grand Marnier, Jim Beam, tequila, and berry, lime and lemon flavors. Other options include Bourbon Berry Tea, Traditional Bloody Mary and an Italian Mimosa. The menu is full of favorites such as Steak and Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.

Mad Hatter Bistro Bar Tea Room

This Birmingham establishment offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The cocktail options are varied with the Mad Mimosa (bubbles and pomegranate liqueur), bloody mary variations, Drink Me Potion (bubbles, peach Schnapps, fresh strawberry puree) and many others. The menu  boasts Mini Chicken – N- Waffles, skillets and more. Patrons can even mix and match bottomless mimosas and bloody marys!
