Cheers! Sign up for a Beer Mug Club of Metro Detroit

One thing the state of Michigan knows is craft beer. With the many breweries/brewpubs around the area, lovers of all things beer are able to enjoy a microbrew. Another perk that some establishments offer is a mug club, which often comes with all kinds of incentives. A beer mug club can definitely be worth the investment, so let’s go over a few.

Detroit’s Jolly Pumpkin in Midtown was opened earlier this year, and offers a Mug Club. For an $85 fee, you become a lifetime member! Members receive a “swag bag” full of goodies, priority on limited release beers, a club card and more. Points are earned when members make purchases, which can be redeemed for food or merchandise – unfortunately not beer, because, that is illegal in Michigan.

Canton Brew Works on Lilley Road offers a Mug Club as well. The $100 lifetime membership offers all kinds of perks. In addition to their own mugs (names included on mugs), members receive $1 off of “pints” (20-ounce servings in your mug), $2 off of growlers (64 ounces), $1 off howlers (32 ounces), free admission to special release parties and much more.

Witch’s Hat Brewing in South Lyon provides a Mug Club for $50 annually. Members here are also treated to 20-ounce pub glasses instead of 16-ounce pints. In addition, members get merchandise, and can take $1 off of drafts every day and half off growler refills on Tuesdays. You can also get your own hand-blown glass mug made by the Dearborn Glass Academy!

Arbor Brewing Company allows patrons to sign up for its Mug Club at both of its locations in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. Some of the benefits include your beer being served to you in an oversized stein, $1 off of select beers and growler refills, free admission to monthly beer release parties and more! The cost is $100 for the first year, then $75 for a renewal. Or, you can opt for the $500 lifetime membership.

As you can see, there are many opportunities to join a Mug Club in the Southeast Michigan area. Now that you have that information, what are you waiting for?
