Metro Detroit makes it convenient to dabble in the wine-drinking pastime thanks to several restaurants and stores selling wine, but have you ever been to a wine bar? Now that I have caught the attention of wine drinkers everywhere, let’s highlight a few of these local establishments.

Cork Wine Pub in Pleasant Ridge offers a great selection of over 100 different wines from all over the world, including South Africa, Italy, France, Spain and, of course, the United States. In addition, there is also Champagne, beer and cocktails and food on the menu.

Tallulah Wine Bar and Bistro in Birmingham possesses quite the extensive list of wines. Wines are offered by the glass, half-bottle, or “pichet,” as well as by the bottle. Tallulah also has a food menu, which includes appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Happy hour is offered from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.

MotorCity Wine, located in Detroit, offers several kinds of wine with a selection changing weekly. Serving as both a wine bar and shop, your purchase can be enjoyed in-house. The establishment also offers small plates, such as a rotating selection of Artisan cheeses, cured meats, crackers and more. MotorCity Wine also has live music and other events throughout the week.

Explore Metro Detroit in a vehicle built for discovery. Chevy Equinox combines sleek looks, maximum comfort and cutting edge entertainment to navigate your city in style.

Vinology calls Ann Arbor home, and features a selection of red, white and sparkling wines. It’s seasonally rotating menu includes appetizers, brunch, dinner and dessert. Throw in great happy hour specials and it is easy to see why this place is an awesome choice.

If you’re looking for a different kind of bar atmosphere, or simply love wine, check out the above options. As always, drink responsibly and have some fun in Metro Detroit.
