As 2014 comes to a close, so does another terrific year for Chevrolet. The General Motors top-notch brand has won more industry awards than any of its competitors this year.
A plethora of awards highlights Chevrolet’s ever-evolving ingenuity and innovation. Such awards include the Equinox, Malibu and Spark all being named as the “Top Safety Pick” from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The Silverado has a nice collection to show, earning the 2014 North American Truck of the Year, ranking first in J.D. Power’s “Highest Ranked Large Heavy Duty Pickup in Initial Quality” (for the second year in a row), and receiving the “Hottest Truck of the Year” award at the Specialty Equipment and Market Association (SEMA) Show.
The Silverado was also recognized by Vincentric as having the lowest total cost for ownership for full-sized pickup trucks for the fourth consecutive year. It is the most awarded pickup truck in the industry.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray (AKA everybody’s dream car) was recognized as the 2014 North American Car of the Year, as Chevy swept both categories for the first time. The Stingray received 211 points, topping the second-ranked car by an impressive 26 points.
As the list continues to pile up, the Chevrolet Cruze was named as the 2014 Fleet Car of the Year. The Cruze is Chevrolet’s best-selling car around the globe—with more than 3 million cars sold since its launch in 2009.
The last 12 months have been very kind to Chevrolet, but it just shows the hard work and dedication every Chevrolet employee puts forth. Next year is already looking promising, as the Colorado has been named as Motor Trend’s 2015 Truck of the Year.
