As most of you know, the metro Detroit food and drink scene is both diverse and immense. There are all sorts of options for people with different tastes and diets, which is undeniably one of the best things about the area. Another great thing is that the area also celebrates food. Southeast Michigan has plenty of upcoming festivals celebrating the diversity of its food and drink scene and we’ve picked some that are taking place this summer. You’ll want to make sure to bring an empty stomach.

2017 Summer Beer Festival (7/21-7/22)

Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park will once again play host to the Summer Beer Festival later this month. The 20th annual festival will showcase over 100 Michigan breweries and sample nearly 1,000 different craft beers. Food vendors and live entertainment will also be on full display throughout the weekend making for a festival you won’t want to miss.

Cornman Farms’ Festival Celebrating Zingerman’s 35th Jubilee (7/23)

Celebrating their 35th anniversary at Cornman Farms, Zingerman’s is inviting everyone to their jubilee featuring live music, cookie decorating, and the best food from Zingerman’s. The family-friendly celebration will be showcasing Zingerman’s newest restaurant, Miss Kim, as well.

Sweetest Heart of Mary Pierogi Festival (8/11-8/13)

The 36th annual Sweetest Heart of Mary Pierogi Festival will be coming to downtown Detroit the weekend of August 11. The festival is fun for the whole family as there’ll be live music, activities (including a bounce house), and of course, pierogis. There’ll also be a 21 and over pre-party on Friday night featuring music from The Coachmen and food from Polish Village Cafe.

When you have the tools to do it yourself, nothing can stop you from turning your vision into reality. Trailblazer offers advanced storage options for a small SUV that is versatile, powerful, and ready to get the job done

Taco Festival (8/12)

The Taco Festival might not be going down on a Tuesday, but the festival will feature a taco-topia that will satisfy anyone. 50 of metro Detroit’s best Mexican restaurants will be on display as you’ll be able to enjoy all the tacos you can handle along with delicious margaritas.
