While you may receive great gifts during the holiday season, it is also good to give back. The season of giving is all about helping those less fortunate than us, whether that is through monetary means or with our time. If you and your family are looking for ways to give back to the Metro Detroit community, here are five local charities you can help during the holiday season.

We all want to imagine a world with cancer-free kids, and Kids Without Cancer is helping that become a reality. Donations can be made online or by phone, or you can volunteer and help a worthy cause.

Arbor Hospice provides families with emotional support during difficult times and they are always looking for those who want to help. You can offer valuable support to patients and families in a variety of different ways. Be sure to check out their calendar to see if there are any specific events you’d like to can volunteer for.

Big Family of Michigan
