On a hot summer’s day, what could be better than a night of drinks from the best craft brewers and wineries Michigan has to offer? Not much, let’s be honest. So, while you continue to battle the heat this summer, take a night off and attend one of these great beer, wine and cocktail events in southeast Michigan!

2016 Summer Beer Festival

The Michigan Brewers Guild’s annual Summer Beer Festival will be in full swing this weekend, July 22-23. 100 Michigan breweries will be on hand with more than 1,000 craft beers available for sampling. Entry to the festival grants ticket holders 15 drink tokens, redeemable for a three oz. sample of beer. A small number of speciality beers may require multiple tokens and additional tokens can be purchased for 50 cents each. While tickets to Saturday’s festivities are sold out, tickets for Friday, July 22, are still available and run $40 in advance ($45 at the gate (if available)).

Cocktail Confidential

Here is your chance to try the latest and greatest in cocktail magic! This will be Cocktail Confidential’s first year and will be held July 30 at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Come and see what cocktail culture has to offer by sampling a great mix (see what I did there?) of different drinks from across the country, including cocktails made by Detroit’s own best drinkmasters. General admission tickets can be purchased for $30 and include ten cocktail samples, a keepsake photo, a commemorative glass and live entertainment. The $45 VIP tickets include everything in the general admission package plus five extra drink samples for a total of 15 and an hour of early access to sample drinks.

St. Clair Beer and Wine Fest

Ultimate Fun Productions and The Social Connection have partnered to bring you the Second Annual St. Clair Beer and Wine Fest in St. Clair Plaza on August 5 at 7:30 p.m. More than 100 craft beers and wines from all over Michigan and even around the world will be available for your sampling pleasure. A general admission ticket will run you $40 and includes 15 beverage samples. A VIP ticket, which grants you an hour of sampling before general admission ticket holders, costs $55 and includes 20 beverage samples. Come, have fun, check out the live music and, who knows, you might discover a new favorite drink!
