We pride ourselves on sourcing locally, sustainably, and ethically.” This commitment shines through their delicious menu, featuring dishes like the beloved Green Goddess Chili Chrisp Salad, featuring fresh greens from Blue Mitte and dressing made with Guernsey’s buttermilk, along with red onion, cucumber, fried shallot, dill, and chili crisps. Foulkes says, “What makes our offerings special is our commitment to sourcing excellent quality ingredients from local vegetable, dairy, egg farmers, and the highest quality meats and beverages…We offer a relaxed atmosphere with delicious, locally-sourced food and drinks, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our table.”

Located on a picturesque five-acre property, Sylvan Table is deeply rooted in sustainability and environmental consciousness. General Manager Sadie Simon notes, “Our commitment is not only to provide exceptional food and service to every guest but to be conscious of our impact on the environment.” With over three acres dedicated to their onsite farm, the restaurant curates menus that emphasize seasonal, sustainable produce and proteins, aligning with their policy on reducing food waste. Excellent menu choices include their Peri-Peri Meatballs, made with grass-fed beef, Greek yogurt, and cilantro, or Grilled Wolgast Mushrooms, with notes of sweet potatoes, chickpeas, chimichurri, and finished with red pepper flakes. Their dedication extends to composting, recycling, and ongoing efforts to educate and improve, ensuring guests can savor delicious dishes with peace of mind.

With locations in Detroit’s West Village and Birmingham, Marrow stands out by blending an innovative restaurant with an artisanal butcher shop.
