Louisiana Creole Gumbo

Originally known as Luzianne Creole Gumbo when founders Margerine and Joe Stafford established the restaurant int 1970, the Detroit staple is now known as Louisiana Creole Gumbo. Now managed by Joe Spencer and his company LCG Inc., Louisiana Creole Gumbo continues to make the same delicious New Orleans dishes and that includes its famous red beans & rice.

Faustina’s Creole & Soul Food

Faustina’s Creole & Soul Food in Detroit is headed up by Chef Anthony, who credits the inspiration for the no-frills establishment to his late father, Leonardo Faustina III. Every section of the menu is affectionately named after members of the Faustina family, like “Granny Rose’s Supper” and “Chef Anthony’s Entrees.” Thanks to tons of options, all of which are mouthwatering, Faustina’s gives you a well-rounded taste of ‘Nawlins.
