Find the Write One: Local Writing Workshops

Being a good writer means one must sharpen their tool box of pencils (or pens) constantly. Exactly how is that done? One way is by attending critiques,  meetups, writing groups, and even workshops. Writing groups like Fortify Writers meet on a regular basis to workshop writings, provide critiques, chat and catch up on what’s happening in the writing world.  

Writing workshops can be viewed as a classroom for writers in a way. They aren’t always done in person,sometimes they can be done virtually to make it more convenient and even comfortable for shy writers.  These workshops help with building confidence while getting that important needed feedback during a draft edit.

Writing can be intimidating even for the most experienced writer. But writing workshops provide safe spaces.  There are writing workshops for all genres from screenwriting to novel writing and even humorist writing. Oh, and another benefit of being a part of a writing workshop is meeting and make new writer friends. Outside of sharpening your writing skills, this is the  best thing, because these people become your intentional writing community. So what’s your story?
