Whether you’re getting together with a group of college friends, looking for the perfect work outing, or need a way to entertain the extended family, the metro Detroit area has numerous fun group activities for you to explore. So whether you want to throw a football at some bowling pins or zip line through a forest, get the gang together for a fun time out in the D!

Fowling Warehouse

We mentioned this place last year in our 4 Friendly, Yet Competitive Activities in the D, but if you haven’t checked it out, we strongly suggest you do. It’s a perfect atmosphere for a group of friends to hang out, play a fun game, and bond over cold drinks. If you do not know what Fowling is, it’s the combination of football and bowling and it’s as crazy as it sounds. The best part is that anyone can play and still have fun; no tremendous amount of football or bowling skill is required.

Escape the Room Detroit

Are you and your family or friends looking for a real life adventure but don’t want to go too far for it? Look no further than Escape the Room in Detroit. What looks like a normal room is actually an interactive game where you’ll have to find hidden objects, look for clues, and solve puzzles in under 60 minutes. There’s two interactive rooms, The Dig which will entertain up to eight players, and The Agency which entertains up to 10 players.

The Adventure Park at West Bloomfield

If you need to add a little adventure to your group outing, check out Adventure Park in West Bloomfield. Get the gang together to go zip lining through one of 10 aerial trails that range from five difficulty levels and feature over 130 aerial challenges. So practice your Tarzan yell and get ready to swing through Michigan’s largest forest climbing park.

The Silverado is the truck that works as hard as you do.

Wheelhouse Detroit

Did you know this all-purpose bike shop has all your bike needs from new or used bikes, to safety equipment, to even guided bike tours of Detroit. Up to 15 of your friends and family can join you for a tour around Belle Isle, Corktown, Haunted Detroit, Eastern Market, and more. If you’re not up for an official tour, you and the gang can rent bikes and the head into the city yourselves.

Whirlyball Novi

Have you ever wanted an excuse to crash a bumper car into your friends and family? Well, whirlyball is the perfect excuse! The fun-filled game can entertain pretty much all ages and makes for a fun, competitive outing. Whirlyball Michigan in Novi is perfect for a party, corporate event, or a group of family and friends who feel the need to crash into each other.
