Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Riverfront Run/Walk

With 5K and 10K options available, this run/walk will take participants along the Detroit RiverWalk and the Milliken State Park on Saturday, June 11. Participants are welcome to complete the run/walk at their pace, however, 10K participants will begin at 9 a.m. and 5K participants will begin at 9:20 a.m. All participants will receive a performance T-shirt, a commemorative medal and a one-day admissions pass to Detroit River Days.

Southfield Summer Soulstice

Taking place on June 18, the longest day of the year, will be the third annual Southfield Summer Soulstice 5K run/walk. This year, it will be held at the newly renovated Southfield Municipal Campus on the completely rebuilt Evergreen Rd. What separates this run/walk from others is that it takes place in the evening — 6 p.m. to be exact. New this year is a fun run for the kids! After the race you can enjoy live music, BBQ and a beer tent.

Insane Inflatable 5K

Just as the name says, this is a 5K run on an inflatable obstacle course. That’s right. On Saturday, July 23, you’ll be running, climbing and jumping your way through 3.1 miles of inflatable obstacles in Oak Park. This is your chance to be a kid again while getting some great exercise. Hurry, though. Spots are filling up quickly. Team registration is encouraged.
