Happy Hour, Happy Day: Drink Specials in Metro Detroit

After a difficult day at the office, one of the best ways to unwind is by hitting up happy hour with some friends or colleagues for a drink (or two). Luckily for all of us hard working individuals, there are numerous bars and restaurants in Metro Detroit that have weekly happy hour specials. The next time you’re heading out for a beer after work, keep the following in mind:

Sean O’Callaghan’s, 821 Penniman Ave., Plymouth, features happy hour Monday through Friday with $3 drafts, $4 wine by the glass and half off appetizers. Daily specialties include $2 Miller Light and Bud Light drafts on Mondays, $2 Angus burgers on Tuesdays and happy hour from 3 p.m. to close on Thursdays. With the exception of Thursday, discounted prices run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Blackfinn, 530 S. Main St., Royal Oak, has happy hour specialties Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the saloon, where drafts, house wines, specialty cocktails and calls are half off. Pair your drinks with tasty appetizers like seared ahi tuna, calamari and southern nachos for $6, as well as specialty flatbreads.

Rosie O’Grady’s, 279 W. 9 Mile Rd., Ferndale, is the place to go if you want to start the party early. Happy hour is held every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and features $3.50 calls, $2.75 domestic drafts, $4 import drafts and $2.75 glasses of wine.

The Silverado is the truck that works as hard as you do.

Dino’s, 22740 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, also gets an early start on happy hour, which is held from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and all day on Tuesday. Deals include $5 appetizers, $4 Skyy Grape Bombs, $3 well drinks and $2 Bud Light drafts.

Roast, 1128 Washington Blvd., Detroit, holds happy hour Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and features $3-$4 bar bites, $4 select beer and wine and $5 pours. Bar bites include items like a 5 oz. Roast Burger and mac & cheese.

Cliff Bell’s, 2030 Park Ave., Detroit, has happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Drink specials include $0.50 pints of PBR (starting at 4 p.m. with a $0.25 price bump every 30 minutes), $3 drafts, $5 featured red or white wine and $7 hand crafted cocktails. Food specials are also served for between $3 and $6.

Remember to drink responsibly while you’re socializing after work! With good friends, cheap drinks and affordable snacks, you’re sure to be able to unwind.
