Cinco de Mayo is only a day away and what better way to celebrate (responsibly) than with a traditional margarita drink? Do you take yours frozen? On the rocks? Flavored? Salt rim? Sugar rim? Can’t forget the lime. We’ve come up with a list of places we think are worth checking out this Cinco de Mayo to get your margarita fix.

Imperial

Located in the heart of downtown Ferndale, Imperial may be known for their food truck-style tacos, but their margaritas are something else. Imperial’s drink specialists skip the pre-made mixes and go straight for the real deal. Whether you want your margarita frozen, on the rocks, flavored or not, Imperial has your margarita needs covered, especially with Cinco de Mayo just a day away.

Armando’s Mexican Cuisine

As one of the attractions of Detroit’s Mexicantown, Armando’s Mexican Cuisine not only sports a menu of delectable tacos, burritos, shrimp fajitas, quesadillas, flaming cheese appetizers and much more, it also has margaritas that some have said are to die for. Their Original Margarita comes frozen or on the rocks, but they also have strawberry, melon or peach fruit margaritas. If you want to kick things up a notch (and who wouldn’t?) try the Sante Fe Margarita, made with gold tequila, triple sec, sweet and sour, cranberry juice and served on the rocks.

El Nibble Nook

Established in 1946 by John & Elizabeth Stephenson, then known as “The Nibble Nook,” the Stephensons prepared home cooked meals at affordable prices. After making a tradition out of closing the restaurant for the cold Michigan winters and retreating to Mexico for the season, they became close friends with a local family that operated a retreat there called Motel Gloria. The Stephensons were inspired by the family’s cooking and decided to bring that flavor to southeast Michigan.

Adventure starts with a vehicle that’s up for anything. Trailblazer combines comfort you want, the versatility you need, and the technology to make every moment count.

With locations in Livonia and Bloomfield, El Nibble Nook serves delicious margaritas as individual drinks or as pitchers for the whole table. So, grab a friend or your whole family and enjoy some margaritas this Cinco de Mayo.
