Fortunately, we were eased into the winter season this year and didn’t experience many freezing temperatures until recently. Unfortunately, that means the cold hit us like a ton of bricks.

If the thought of venturing out into the cold makes you want to burrow into a blanket until springtime, you’re not alone. However, don’t let the chill cause you to become a hermit. There are plenty of indoor activities to enjoy in southeast Michigan during the winter months, and these are just a few:

The Fowling Warehouse

Located in Hamtramck, fowling is a game that combines both bowling and football. Grab a group of friends and reserve a lane for two hours for up to 10 people per lane, and see who can knock the most pins down. There are also two bars in the warehouse, so you can grab a Michigan craft beer, your favorite cocktail or cider.

Note: while this is an indoor activity, it can, at times, still be chilly inside. Don’t leave your coat at home just in case!

With best-in-class cargo space, top of the line safety features, and cutting edge technology, the Chevy Suburban is perfect for any family. See the Suburban's available features that can keep up with your family's lifestyle.

Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum

A staple in Farmington Hills, Marvin’s boasts the largest collection of Pinball machines in the area, along with tons of other games and collectables. If arcade games are your forte, you’ll enjoy an afternoon here. While you’re there, be sure to check out the snack bar sign—if your first name is written on it, you receive a free slush and popcorn! After a rousing few hours of playtime, head to Bone Yard BBQ right across the street for a tasty meal.

If Ann Arbor is more your neck of the woods, also consider Pinball Pete’s for a similarly fun experience.

Airtime Trampoline & Game Park

Have fun, stay warm and get a workout in all at once at Airtime in Canton, Novi, Troy or Sterling Heights! The park offers open jump with 30,000 square feet of wall-to-wall trampolines, mosh pits with foam and trampoline dodgeball courts where you can challenge your friends.

Consider stopping by on Wednesday nights from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., when you can get two hours of jumping for $12.

When the temperature drops, don’t forget: there are plenty of indoor activities to enjoy in southeast Michigan, and spring will be here before you know it.
