Westview Orchards and Winery is considered a Macomb County gem by many Metro Detroiters of all ages. The vast acres of this location include several activities and attractions that just about anyone can enjoy. Not to mention, it’s open all year round with rotating seasonal attractions, including the Schoolhouse Ice Cream & Sweet Shoppe, U-Pick cherries, and strawberries. Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill
Blake’s is the largest cider mill in Michigan, and has affectionately earned the title of the “Cedar Point of Cider Mills”. This conglomerate is known for its delectable cider and donuts and the nearly countless amount of fun-filled attractions and things to do. Blakes operates eight locations that offer the beloved cider and donuts and are open all year round. The Orchard and Cider Mill is the original location and where the Funland area, one of the seasonal U-Picks, Blake’s Tasting Room and Restaurant, and Lovey’s Lavender Market is. Next is Blake’s Big Apple, where all the spooky fall fun takes place and includes the seasonal U-Pick as well. Blake’s Backyard features a greenhouse, nursery, market, and taproom with a gorgeous outdoor patio. Blake’s also serves South Lyon and is only open from August until October, so this location is packed with fun fall favorites. Bakehouse 46 is Blake’s own Cafe and Bakery, with four locations throughout Birmingham, Ann Arbor, Plymouth, and Rochester. Yates Cider Mill
According to the team at Yates Cider Mill, the one mission is that they “want people to leave happier than when they arrived.” And with the serene scenery, immaculate cider, donuts and other treats, and fun activities, it’s pretty easy to make that happen. Franklin Cider Mill boasts a calming, duck-filled stream, which is what powers the water wheel, along with an open market full of fall goodies. They host a variety of entertainment every weekend, such as magic shows, storytimes, and jazz music. Visitors of all ages can enjoy Three Cedars Cider Mill.
