Thanksgiving is all about family, but I think we can all agree that pumpkin pie is just about the best thing on earth. Having said that, no matter where you spend Thanksgiving this year, you’re going to need pie. And lots of it.

Perhaps you’re not much of a baker, and that’s okay—we can’t all be Ron Ben-Israel. If that’s the case, save yourself some anxiety and order your Thanksgiving pies. Here are some Metro Detroit bakeries and restaurants that will get the (stress free) job done:

The Root Restaurant & Bar, located in White Lake, offers five different pie varieties this Thanksgiving: Dutch Apple Pie with Brown Sugar Streusel, Pecan, Pumpkin, Banana Cream or Chocolate Chess.

Final orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 23 and final pie pickup is on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Each pie yields approximately 12 slices, and costs $30.

Whether you're gearing up for a weekend trip or headed to the green, the Chevy Blazer offers the perfect blend of style, space, and performance to meet your needs.

Love’s Custard Pies can be found at Eastern Market, and there are nearly a dozen different holiday pies to choose from. Sweet Potato Custard, Key Lime, Beer Nut Chess and Old Fashioned Egg Custard are just a few!

Pies can be ordered via Facebook or by calling 313-748-2654. You can find Love’s Custard Pies at Eastern Market’s Shed #2 on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Why Not Pie? is a local homemade pie business that delivers made-to-order pies to the Ann Arbor area. For Thanksgiving, the menu includes Classic Pumpkin, Caramel Apple, Orange Cranberry Chess and Pecan Pie.

Pies are made with fresh ingredients, including Michigan apples, Michigan pumpkin puree and local organic eggs. Place your order online up until Friday, Nov. 20, and pies will be ready on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

The Brownie Gourmet, located in Royal Oak, offers six different pie flavors this Thanksgiving. Try the Salted Caramel Brownie Cheesecake Pie or Peanut Butter Dreams Brownie Pie.

Pies start at just $15 and can be picked up at The Brownie Gourmet Monday through Wednesday of Thanksgiving week.

Since we’re talking pie, we certainly can’t neglect Sister Pie or Dangerously Delicious Pies (both of Detroit), so be sure to check out these two places for your holiday ordering needs as well.

Enjoy!
