One place to always find great summer (or any season) events at is the Royal Oak Farmers Market. June is already a great month, I mean yours truly was born in June, but it is also an ideal time to check out what is happening at the ROFM. Listed below are three events you’ll want to mark your calendars for.
The Food Truck Rally takes place on the second Wednesday of each month at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Several of metro Detroit’s most sought-after food trucks often set up shop at the rally. These food trucks include the Mac Shack, Delectabowl, El Guapo Grill, Rollin’ Stone Wood Fired Pizza and more. In fact, attendees can expect around 12 trucks to attend the event! Trucks are located both indoors and outdoors, and there is also live music setting the mood.
The event is put on by The Social Connection, a company that definitely knows how to show guests a good time. For a $35 general admission ticket, attendees get unlimited food samples, 10 cocktail/beverage samples, a keepsake photo and a commemorative glass. There are also VIP tickets available, which allow for 15 drink sample tickets. Some of metro Detroit’s finest eateries will be at the event, with more than 1,000 samples to choose from. American, Italian, Mexican, Asian, desserts and many other types of food will be showcased.
The Royal Oak Beer Fest continues with its summer event. The festival brings more than 150 beers and ciders to Royal Oak for guests to try. The general admission ticket option includes three drink tickets for $15, and the VIP option includes four drink tickets for $20. The VIP package also includes meet-and-greets with brewers and first access to limited beer releases. Just like the Taste Fest, commemorative pint glasses and a keepsake photo are included with your ticket. Additional drink tickets can be bought, and food is available for purchase as well.

This month surely offers fun events at the ROFM. I have attended all of these events in the past few years, and I recommend all of them. Be sure to stay tuned for various events throughout the summer!
