Did you know drinking beer in moderation can be good for you? The key word there, obviously,  is “moderation.” If you’re someone that works out on a regular basis and wants a delicious way to rehydrate and refuel a bit after getting a good cardio workout in, a cold one might be the way to go.

One of the most classic forms of cardio exercise is to go for a run and, believe it or not, a celebratory beer at the end of a race isn’t just a good consolation prize. Many beers are primarily water, contain ethanol (which lowers “bad” cholesterol and increases “good” cholesterol), receive approximately a third of the calories from carbs and more. So, when you’re crossing the finish line at one of this year’s several holiday runs, don’t be hesitant to imbibe.
