There are plenty of Metro Detroit restaurants that can help you refresh this summer with a good salad.
Sweet Lorraine’s
Located in Livonia, Sweet Lorraine’s Cafe and Bar features award-winning and unique cuisine perfect for any season. Their salad bowl options include the SLC Caesar with Crispy Clams, A Gem of a Wedge Salad, and their greek Chicken Kebabs Corfu Holiday salad. Detroit Vegan Soul
With a 100% plant-based and trans-fat free menu, Detroit Vegan Soul is not only good, but good for you as well. Their Cesar Chavez and Community Garden salads are both satisfying, but their organic Sesame Kale salad features their delicious house-made sesame dressing, sun-dried tomatoes, and sesame seeds, perfect for a summer afternoon. There are now two locations in Detroit to help you get your salad fix, one on the west side off Grand River and another on the east side off Agnes Street.
7 Greens
The fastest way to enjoy gourmet salads, 7 Greens has been helping Metro Detroiters discover fresh salads since 2014. There are numerous salads at both stores, but we would like to highlight the Dan Dan salad which features romaine and mixed greens, green beans, dried cherries, pepitas, and roasted brussel sprouts with crumbled blue cheese. You can order online from either of their Detroit or Birmingham locations to make your pick-up even easier.
Green Space Cafe
With unique artisanal and plant based dishes for both lunch and dinner, Green Space Cafe in Ferndale has plenty of perfectly refreshing salad options. Their Arugula Strawberry salad is perfect for the summer as it features shaved fennel, cashew cheese, tarragon, mustard, and lemon. Cacao Tree Cafe
Royal Oak’s Cacao Tree Cafe has plenty of smoothies, juices, and of course salads to cool you off on a summer’s afternoon. All of their salads feature house made dressings and range from their White Bean & Walnut salad to their Mexican salad. We’d suggest their Farm Hand salad which has romaine, carrot, broccoli, cucumber, tomato, red onion, garlic walnuts, garbanzo beans, and avocado.
