’Tis the season for holiday shopping! As the holidays quickly approach us, we all have countless things to do to get ready for the season, with one of the most daunting tasks being shopping for everyone on your list. Lucky for you, over the next few weeks, many Metro Detroit communities will be hosting holiday markets full of crafty and unique gifts. So before you hit the panic button on your holiday shopping, check out these upcoming holiday markets in the D!

36th Annual Holiday Arts and Craft Marketplace (11/17)

Royal Oak High School will host their 36th Annual Holiday Arts and Craft Marketplace on Saturday, November 17. Royal Oak’s largest juried arts and craft show will feature over 100 local artisans and crafters, along a large assortment of baked goods and lunch entrees. Admission is $2 for adults and all proceeds go towards benefitting Royal Oak High School.

Eastern Market Holiday Markets (11/20-12/23)

Eastern Market is your home for great arts and crafts all year-round, but the marketplace will begin to embrace the holiday season every Tuesday and Sunday starting on November 20. The Tuesday market dates will primarily focus on food vendors that will help you find the best ingredients for all of your upcoming holiday meals. The Sunday market dates will feature Michigan-made gifts such as art, clothing, jewelry and much more.

The Detroit Urban Craft Fair (11/30-12/2)

The Detroit Urban Craft Fair will take over the Masonic Temple starting on Friday, November 30. The 12th annual fair is Michigan’s longest-running indie craft fair and will feature over 100 juried vendors, live musicians, and great food. Find the perfect gifts from handcrafted jewelry, home decor items, and handmade treasures perfect for the holidays.

Midnight Madness at the Kerrytown District (11/30)

Get in the holiday spirit with the Kerrytown District and Ann Arbor’s Midnight Madness taking place on Friday, November 30. The night will include great holiday sales throughout the locally-owned stores with live music, a visit from Santa, and plenty of great dining options. The 10th annual Kindliest in the farmers market will also be taking place, so be sure to check that out for even more gift ideas!

Explore Detroit: Holiday Shopping in the City Bus Tour (12/15)

If you want to experience all of the great holiday shopping opportunities Detroit has to offer in one afternoon, check out the Detroit Experience Factory’s Holiday Shopping in the City Bus Tour taking place on Saturday, December 15. The four hour tour will take you to Detroit’s best small business districts from bakeries to boutiques and everything in between. Stops will include the Willis/Canfield Retail Corridor, Eastern Market shops, and the Livernois Avenue of Fashion.
