Winter in Michigan is many things (but mostly cold). While you may find yourself snowed in, a la earlier this week, there are plenty of things worth digging your way out of the driveway for.
Restaurant weeks are one such event! A great opportunity to get a taste of a new eatery, or revisit your favorite one, both Royal Oak and Troy are hosting mid-winter restaurant weeks.
Royal Oak Restaurant Week kicks off today, Friday, Feb. 26, and runs through Sunday, March 6. More than 25 of the city’s top dining establishments will feature three-course lunch and dinner options at $15, $25 and $35 per person.
“The thing that is great about Royal Oak Restaurant Week is that we have something for everyone’s palate and price point,” Stephanie McIntyre, event producer of Royal Oak Restaurant Week, said.
Participating restaurants include Ale Mary’s Beer Hall, B Spot Burgers, Bistro 82, Cafe Muse, Hamlin Corner, Monk Beer Abbey, Oak City Grille, Rock on 3rd, Royal Oak Brewery, Tom’s Oyster Bar, Town Tavern and more.
New restaurants to the latest edition of Royal Oak Restaurant Week include Mesa Tacos and Tequila, Ironwood Grill (inside Emagine Theatre) and Strada. All three are putting their best foot forward when it comes to gaining new customers, and the venues have each created delicious, unique menus for Restaurant Week.
“We love the new options for our guests and we love that guests keep returning to try our new options,” McIntyre said.

“Royal Oak Restaurant Week is a great way to experience amazing food at amazing prices. From casual to fine dining, we have something for everyone,” McIntyre said. “Plus, there are not a lot of activities this time of year and delicious food is a great reason to get out of the house and fight the winter blues!”
Following Royal Oak Restaurant Week, Troy Restaurant Week is set for Sunday, March 13 through Friday, March 18. More than 20 different restaurants will offer special lunch and dinner menus, including Steelhouse Tavern, Picano’s Italian Grille, 2Booli, Tre Monti Ristorante and Sy Thai.
