Do you have a curious side? Do you sometimes want to put your detective skills to use to solve a problem or mystery? If this sounds like you, get a group of friends together, and book a murder mystery or escape room party!
Murder mystery parties often revolve around finding out the culprit of a fictitious crime committed (usually “murder”) by using clues, solving riddles and working together. Similarly, escape room games are adventures in which participants use elements within a series of rooms, clues and puzzle-solving skills to “escape” in a certain time limit.
Check out our list of local mystery parties and escape rooms below.
Escape the Room opened shop in Detroit earlier this month. Participants have 60 minutes to escape a series of connected rooms by finding hidden objects, understanding clues and putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Two separate games are offered: The Agency (up to 10 players) and The Dig Escape Room (up to eight players). You can also host a special event here. Tickets cost $28.
With two locations in Warren and Ann Arbor, Breakout! offers many games and opportunities for groups. Try your luck at such games as The Ringmaster’s Den, Game of Espionage or Zombie Roadhouse – yes the zombie apocalypse is here! If a desirable time slot is available on any day other than Friday or Saturday, patrons can request the game they would rather play, instead of the game already listed at that particular time. Tickets cost $25.
Patrons at The Murder Mystery Co. can enjoy a three-course meal and two hours’ worth of mystery fun! It hosts both public shows where participants come to the Eastpointe location, as well as private shows where the company comes to your home or chosen venue! Currently, early access tickets are 50 percent off – take advantage!
Can you escape the room or solve the mystery? There is only one way to find out.
