After a long day at work, you might need to have a mental release from dealing with life’s everyday stresses. Well, games are a great way to get you out of your “adulting” mode to blow off some steam. The metro Detroit area offers plenty of different game nights happening throughout each month, so grab your dice and get ready to have some fun.

Vault of Midnight

Vault of Midnight in Detroit and Ann Arbor is your destination for all things comic book and geek-centric, but the stores also host game nights usually once a month. Game nights typically take place at a local bar or restaurant and there are multiple games being played throughout the night. This month’s event will take place at Checker Bar in Detroit on March 27. Tickets are $10 and include a $5 drink ticket along with 10% off any game at Vault of Midnight. Be sure to get your ticket soon as these events tend to sell out.

Metro Detroit Game Night

Metro Detroit Game Night is a group dedicated to playing the best board, card, and video games out there. The group meets regularly at game shops, bowling alleys, arcades, bars, and other establishments. Metro Detroit Game Night also puts together movie nights where they go see the biggest blockbuster movies on opening night. Be sure to check out their Facebook page to see all they have going on.

Bingo Halls

If you’re tired of the strategic board games or have played every card game out there, you should consider going out to one of your local bingo halls for a fun game night out. There are plenty of great ones in the Detroit area including Plaza Bingo 12, North Gratiot Bingo Hall, and Rosemack Bingo Hall. Many of these halls are packed most nights, so be sure to get there early!

From market trips to weekend getaways, the Chevy Trax’s versatile cargo space ensures you’re always ready for life’s adventures.

The Loaded Die

The Loaded Die is a neighborhood game store in Ferndale and every week they host a game night at the Rust Belt Market. You get to try out the games before you buy them, plus experts will teach you the rules before you buy. The Loaded Die also hosts monthly silent auctions where you can buy gently used games or auction off some of your games.

So whether you’re in the mood for a long, epic board game, a fun card game, or even a simple night at the bingo hall, be sure to make your next game night a night out in metro Detroit!
