Although we should be thankful for our mothers and everything they do for us every day of the year, Mother’s Day is the day we can shower them with extra attention and gifts! There really are few better ways to celebrate this special day than treating your mom to a nice meal. Detroit has numerous brunches, lunches, and dinners and you should definitely consider these four below.

Eddie Merlot’s

Eddie Merlot’s is one of the top fine dining experiences in metro Detroit, and they’ll be throwing an extra special Mother’s Day brunch this upcoming Sunday. You’ll be able to enjoy an elaborate brunch that includes roasted beef tenderloin, glazed ham, roasted turkey breast, french toast, an omelet station, and much more.

Grey Ghost

Grey Ghost in downtown Detroit is a popular Sunday brunch spot, so it’s guaranteed to be a hot spot this upcoming Mother’s Day. The restaurant will be offering a special holiday Pre Fixe Menu, which will feature a selection of brunch pastries, a wide variety of special entrees, and a kids menu for children 12 and under.

Gandy Dancer

If your mother has a taste for seafood, then there’s no better place to be than Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor. The elegant restaurant has a wide selection of seafood options and drink specials. Mother’s Day brunch will be available in the dining room from 9am – 2pm and in the Courtyard from 9am – 5pm.

The Silverado is the truck that works as hard as you do.

Detroit Princess Riverboat

If you are looking for something a little outside the box this Mother’s Day, maybe a trip down the Detroit River on the Detroit Princess will do. The riverboat will be setting sail this Mother’s Day at noon and 7 p.m. for three different events: Mother’s Day Motown Lunch, Mother’s Day Motown Dinner, and Mother’s Day Sunset cruise. Specifics on each of these events, and where you can reserve your tickets, can be found at here.
