Now, this is our favorite time of year because not only is it about family but it’s also about finding great deals and checking off your naughty and nice list. So, yeah, Black Friday is an ok day to find deals, BUT Small Business Saturday is even better! Why? Because you are shopping local and supporting people and businesses in your own community. Small Business Saturday is about making a contribution that positively affects everyone around you. What is more awesome than that?! The Metro Detroit area is buzzing with all kinds of Small Business Saturday events, here are 5 you can’t miss.

Black Friday/Small Business Saturday Weekend

Enjoy Small Business Saturday a day early as the Black Friday deals run into the weekend at The Peacock Room. Some of the great deals include 20% Gowns, 15% off of children’s gifts and there will be sure to be something for everyone. This is the first anniversary of the shopping festivities happening at the Fisher Building. As an added bonus, there will be free parking all day Saturday while you are out shopping and catching all the good deals.

Small Business Saturday at Cass Collective

Adventure starts with a vehicle that’s up for anything. Trailblazer combines comfort you want, the versatility you need, and the technology to make every moment count.

There will be pop up stores for Mature, Elite Couture Boutique and Triple a Closet for all you fashionistas. This shopping experience is sponsored by Midtown Detroit inc and TechTown Detroit. All of your high-end fashion needs will be satisfied! There will also be refreshments to enjoy while you shop.

Small Business Saturday in Grandmont Rosedale

Shoppers visiting Grandmont Rosedale park will be doing Small Business Saturday the right way. This day of annual tradition embraces shopping locally. Each year the event gets bigger and bigger. There will be food trucks to eat while shopping and holiday gifts to buy.  Over 25 vendors will be on site with live music, raffles and there will be childcare.

Small Biz Saturday Market

Who can pass up over 90 vendors and 25,000 square feet of pure retail bliss? Shop small at the Royal Oak Farmers Market! You and your family can burn off the pumpkin pie by walking the 25,000 square feet market to find the perfect gifts. This event is $3 but all process go straight to benefit the Detroit Art Initiative

Small Business “Shop Small”

In downtown Ferndale, all small business are coming together for a big day. 40 plus business to be exact. The day will start off with a welcome station located in the Rust Belt Market, where shoppers can grab their shop small bags and shop on. There will also be a scavenger hunt map that you and the family can play to win fun prizes.
