Catch a Concert at these 5 Local Venues

Southeast Michigan is a great place to catch some of the music industry’s best up and coming artists. Here are five local venues and some upcoming shows we think you should check out.

The Magic Bag

Located in downtown Ferndale, the Magic Bag offers an intimate and fun concert experience. They host talent from all over the country, but you can catch local acts there as well. Upcoming shows include Gus Gus on November 8, Arkells with Darcys on November 11, and Lydia with Motherfolk on November 15.  

The Crofoot

Music has a lot of genres, and The Crofoot in Pontiac is not afraid of hosting bands of any genre. From hip-hop, to rock, to hispanic pop, The Crofoot is sure to have something for everyone. Upcoming concerts include 89X Smash Concerts Rockfest on November 6, Paper Route on November 7, and the Team Rowland Tour on November 10.

The Ark

Right in the heart of Ann Arbor, The Ark is the place to see the industry’s up and coming stars perform. With an intimate setting and great local talent on many nights, The Ark is a hot ticket any night of the week. Upcoming shows include The Appleseed Collective on October 29 and Patty Griffin on November 7.

PJs Lager House

Corktown Detroit is a great place to have a fun night out, and PJs Lager House is one venue you won’t want to pass up. Offering great food and a wide selection of beer, PJs hosts some of Detroit’s best up and coming rock talents. In the coming weeks, check out The Ruiners on October 29, Colorwheel on November 10, and Shady Groves on November 12.

The Loving Touch

If you’re looking to get up close to some talented artists during a performance, look no further than the Loving Touch in Ferndale. With the stage and floor separated by only a couple of feet, you’re guaranteed to have a head banging good time. Upcoming concerts include Murder by Death on November 4, local favorite on The Handgrenades November 5, and Roisin Murphy on November 6.
