It’s starting to actually feel like November in Michigan, and I don’t know about you, but when the first chill of the season begins to creep in, I wish to hibernate.

While that’s not exactly feasible (ya know, work, responsibility, etc.), spending a cozy evening in catching up on Netflix and enjoying takeout is! These Metro Detroit restaurants take the cake for best places to “get it to go!”

Little Bangkok, located in downtown Plymouth, is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. From spring rolls to soup to entrees, there’s something for everyone.

Try the Pattani (red curry coconut milk with mixed veggies and your choice of meat), Potato Curry or Drunken Noodle (rice noodles stir-fried with green onions, green peppers and egg, Thai basil and white wine). Don’t forget a Thai Iced Tea to quench your thirst!

Slows to Go of Midtown is a convenient carryout location that serves an almost identical menu to the original establishment in Corktown.

The carryout menu includes sandwiches like The Sleeper (turkey breast topped with melted Cheddar cheese, coleslaw, black bean puree, pickled jalapenos and spicy sauce) and Triple Threat Pork. St. Louis Ribs, Beef Brisket and Veggie “Chicken” are also available for carryout.

Two Guys Pizza Pies of Livonia makes some of the best pizza around, so put the number on speed dial for carryout nights.

Specialty pizzas include the Chicken Parmesan, Double Cheese Double Pepperoni Parmesan and Spinach Feta pizzas. You can also build your own pie, and the menu includes a great selection of tasty grinders, pasta and chicken options that are all excellent.

Don’t forget to see if any of these coupons apply before you place your order!

Beans & Cornbread Too Go is located five doors down from the soul food restaurant of Southfield, where you can order carryout and be on your way in no time!

Main plates on the carryout dinner menu include B&C’s Fried Chicken, Barbecue Style Rib Tips and Farm Raised Catfish. All plates are served with homemade cornbread, sweet potato muffins and your choice of two or three side dishes.

This weekend, sit back and relax, and enjoy a night of takeout!
