Back in the day, tableside service was all the rage. The best dining establishments would wow their guests by carving meats or setting desserts aflame right next to your seat. This charming meal experience slightly went by the wayside through COVID times, but many of the places that have always had it are back in full swing. If you want to be delighted by a meal and a show, you have to make your way to these Metro Detroit restaurants featuring tableside service.

Mr. Paul’s Chophouse

Family-owned and operated for over 50 years, Mr. Paul’s Chophouse is the place to go if you want an old-school vibe with your meal. Their tableside Caesar salad is one of their most popular menu items and is crafted completely from scratch on a cart the maitre d wheels out from the kitchen. Their chateaubriand for two is also served tableside, meticulously carved while surrounded by flames.

Mario’s Restaurant

Boodle’s

Boodle’s is a New York-style supper club known for its tableside preparations including Caesar salad, steak Diane, cherries jubilee, and bananas foster. Their whole VIP tableside menu features dishes that are sure to keep you coming back for more.
