Fall weather in Michigan brings about a lot of feelings. It’s the feeling of a light, brisk breeze sliding through your fingers. It’s the feeling of a hooded sweatshirt keeping you warm. It’s the feeling of friends around a campfire.

Now that fall is here in Metro Detroit, why not make the most of it? Lucky for you, there’s no shortage of great, free events happening this fall. See what the local art scene is up to. Sip on some locally brewed hard cider. Revel in the Halloween spirit. Whatever you do, take advantage of the season and make it one to remember.

Light Up Livernois is a unification of makers, artists, designers and small business owners to show off the Avenue of Fashion through a new lens. You can expect open studios, fashion vignettes, musical performances and small business highlights at this free event on September 29.

On October 7, 3.5 miles of Southwest Detroit will transform into an open street affair with local shops, restaurants, activities, workshops and more taking over. It is free and open to the public. Just walk along Michigan Avenue and West Vernor Highway to discover something new about the city. People are encouraged to walk, bike and rollerblade through the streets as they take in the community that surrounds them.

Adventure starts with a vehicle that’s up for anything. Trailblazer combines comfort you want, the versatility you need, and the technology to make every moment count.

Local Music at Northville Winery and Brewing Company

We’re already big fans of Northville Winery and Brewing Company. If you’re looking for a great place to sip on a glass of hard cider, wine or beer while vibing to some local music, this is the place. It seems that there are always great musical acts performing at the Winery and on October 13, Motor City Pasty Company will be on-site with their food truck serving up delicious pasties.

Halloween Family Fun Day @ Beacon Park

If you’re looking for some family-friendly Halloween fun, check out Beacon Park on October 27. The event’s programming is subject to change, but some things you might find at Halloween Family Fun Day are trick-or-treating, a costume parade, cider, donuts, s’mores, pumpkin decorating, face painting and more. Admission is free, but drinks and food can be purchased.

The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally
