There are countless reasons why car buffs should be excited for this weekend’s 65th annual Detroit Autorama at Cobo Center, from the classic cars on display to the car care demonstrations, there are plenty of things to check out. Those are great if you are a car expert, but believe it or not there are plenty of reasons to be excited even if you’re not a car aficionado.
The first thing that pops in your head when you hear Autorama is likely cars, but the second thing should definitely be celebrities because this year’s lineup is stacked. From the Dukes of Hazards’ themselves, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach, to WWE Superstar AJ Styles there are plenty of opportunities to see and possibly meet these celebrities. You might not be into the real life cars, but the 25th annual Toy-a-Rama is worth seeing for its exclusive toys and uniqueness alone. You’ll be able to find the coolest car toys and models, which will help you earn brownie points with your son or nephew.
All that being said, it is still the Greatest Hot Rod Show in America so of course you should be excited for the cars on display. There’ll be plenty of classic muscle cars and vehicles that have never been on display in the show’s 65 year history.
