This Weekend’s Autorama is for More Than Just Car Buffs

There are countless reasons why car buffs should be excited for this weekend’s 65th annual Detroit Autorama at Cobo Center, from the classic cars on display to the car care demonstrations, there are plenty of things to check out. Those are great if you are a car expert, but believe it or not there are plenty of reasons to be excited even if you’re not a car aficionado.

Celebrity Appearances

The first thing that pops in your head when you hear Autorama is likely cars, but the second thing should definitely be celebrities because this year’s lineup is stacked. From the Dukes of Hazards’ themselves, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach, to WWE Superstar AJ Styles there are plenty of opportunities to see and possibly meet these celebrities. Live Music

There will be plenty of live music to go along with all of muscle cars throughout the Autorama festivities. The headlining performance will be Dany ‘The Count’  Koker and the Count 77. There will be additional bands performing throughout the weekend as well.

Batmobile on Display

You might not be into cars, but one of the most iconic pop culture vehicles of all-time will be showcased and you definitely do not want to miss that. All comic book and pop culture fanatics will be able to see the Batmobile on full display this weekend.

25th Annual Toy-a-Rama

You might not be into the real life cars, but the 25th annual Toy-a-Rama is worth seeing for its exclusive toys and uniqueness alone. You’ll be able to find the coolest car toys and models, which will help you earn brownie points with your son or nephew.

All that being said, it is still the Greatest Hot Rod Show in America so of course you should be excited for the cars on display. There’ll be plenty of classic muscle cars and vehicles that have never been on display in the show’s 65 year history. So whether you’re a car buff or not, be sure to head down to Cobo this weekend for Autorama.
