With a spacious interior, cutting-edge technology, and top-tier safety features, the Blazer is built for those who live life to the fullest.
Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers and Detroit Free Press have teamed up for the Top 10 Takeover, a series of restaurant takeovers that will highlight the ten best new restaurants in Detroit and the surrounding area. Last time, we looked at Townhouse. Next, the Takeover heads to Detroit to check out Standby on September 6.
Located in the Belt Alley in downtown Detroit, a public art space that connects Gratiot and Grand River, Standby is a cocktail bar with cuisine to match an atmosphere that doesn’t put an Old Fashioned above a bottle of Miller High Life.
Standby recently underwent a changeup in kitchen leadership and that new leadership, Jesse Knott and Lindsay Salminen, will be putting their best culinary foot forward with a redesigned menu come September 6. The new menu features 10 items, such as shrimp escabeche and whisky mushroom pierogi. The most expensive items on the menu, Church St. Roasted Chicken and curry braised lamb, clock in at $15. But, at a place like Standby, the cocktails are front and center with plenty of options for mixed drinks, regardless of your poison of choice.
Takeover attendees on September 6 will have the chance to enjoy a five-course dinner:
With a spacious interior, cutting-edge technology, and top-tier safety features, the Blazer is built for those who live life to the fullest.
First course: Pate en Terrine, rye cracker, soy dijonnaise, radish, cilantro
Second course: Corn soup, paprika, coriander, black pepper
