A Day in the Historic District of West Village

West Village has everything a metro Detroiter needs at their fingertips or better yet at their toes, as everything is walking distance. Located just west of Indian Village, West Village is more than alleyways and  narrow cross streets.  It’s a walkable historical thriving part of Detroit. The stunning architecture of the homes new and old alike are eye catching and affordable.  Let’s go exploring, a day in the historical West Village.

This cycle bar is the only one located in the West Village but it is not limited to just spinning. Guest can try their hand at yoga and if you are feeling really daring, TRX.

This dog park, which acts as a beer garden that hosts live musical performances during the summer months, is where your dog can run free and of course meet the friendly neighborhood dogs.

The food is so delicious here, you do not have to be vegan to enjoy it. But you can enjoy all the indulgent food without the guilt! Everything that comes out of the kitchen is organic, 100% plant based and natural.

After lunch,  Sister Pie is a literally a slice of heaven. From sweet to savory and everything in between. You can’t go wrong with the “Double and by Double I mean Triple Chocolate Cookies”. Plus all pies are handmade daily. Grab a slice for now and a pie for later.

End your day with a craft cocktail and appetizers during Craft Work’s happy hour which starts at 4pm and goes until 7pm. Even if you can’t make happy hour last call isn’t until midnight so you have time to get a drink in with  friends. On the dinner menu is anything from the fresh catch of the day to  “Le Big Mack” burger. Try the warm bean dip with chips from the happy hour menu. You won’t be disappointed.
