However, the unfortunate truth is that there are animals with no place to call home who wander the streets looking for food and shelter. That is why your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers are reaching out to help the many animal non-profits in our local communities, and are asking for your help. Will you join us in making a difference?
Thankfully, strides are being made for the betterment of these would-be pets by local non-profit organizations. These non-profits are largely made possible by people in the community, like you, offering their help in any way they can. Whether they are volunteering their time or their expertise, they are the backbone of the organization. Every day, the kind folks at these organizations are helping to give these animals a second chance at a good life; a life where they are loved and cared for, just as every animal should be. While their support is greatly valued, there is always a need for more help.
Through the Pickups for Paws donation campaign your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers are working with several non-profit animal organizations throughout the area to collect donations of pet-friendly supplies. Some of the organizations include Michigan Lab Rescue, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Last Day Dog Rescue, Detroit Bully Corps, Friends of Dearborn Animal Shelter, Homeward Bound Rescue League, Michigan Animal Rescue League and Michigan Humane Society. Please contact your local dealer to find out which organization(s) they are working with.
All you have to do is stop by a participating Metro Detroit Chevy Dealership to make your donation by placing the supplies in the Pickups for Paws Silverado truck bed. You can’t miss it!
Even the smallest donations make a big difference!
Some recommended items for donation include:
- Cat and dog toys (nonporous)
- Dishwashing liquid
- Dog treats/rawhide chews
- Dog toys (stuffed)
- Humidifiers
- Leaf lettuce (fresh, for rabbits)
- Peanut butter
- Small paper bowls/plates
