Wearing a mask in public has become part of the social norm as we continue to adapt to the Coronavirus pandemic. Many Metro Detroit companies have changed gears to help Detroiters stay safe and healthy, and that includes creating custom masks. This switch also helps companies survive the financial hardship they might be facing because of this pandemic. So if you’re looking for protective masks and want to support local businesses, check out these Metro Detroit companies.

Mask Market

Mark and Fred Hajjar, founders of UglyChristmasSweater.com and TVstoreonline.com, started the Michigan-based Mask Market to offer custom made PPE masks to everyone. The reusable, washable masks can be personalized through their site’s free online design tool using uploaded images, logos or artwork. For each mask purchased, the company will donate one to frontline workers through the 100 Million Mask Initiative.

Detroit Sewn

Detroit Sewn offers high quality shirts and products to its clients, and is now helping the community during the Coronavirus pandemic. The company is currently making face masks, pocket face masks, and isolation gowns for hospitals and businesses. The face masks are cotton, machine washable and come with various elastic bands for preferred comfort.

Inkpressions

Inkpressions, a screen printing and embroidery company, is offering cloth face masks along with custom face masks. The masks use a dual-filter technology and aren’t for medical use, but instead for everyday people who need to go out during the pandemic. The company has also launched a buy-one-give-one campaign where they will donate masks to the non-profit MI Behavioral Collaborative.
