By: Michael Fossbakk | October 8, 2012

Leaves are starting to change color, there is a coolness in the air that causes you to grab a sweater as you head out for the evening, and the kids are headed back to school… Fall has returned! However, that does not mean that the outdoor fun has to stop! On the contrary, there are many great things to do during the fall months.

Some of the best things that accompany the return of fall are all of the amazing festivals that happen in the Metro Detroit Area. From pumpkins to apples to scarecrows, you can pretty much find a festival that celebrates it! Plus, these festivals promote community, often showcasing locally grown foods and handcrafted items. We have put together a list of the many fun and diverse festivals that can be found happening over the next few months. So, get out there and celebrate fall and all its wonderful bounty!
