Pet Groomers in Metro Detroit

Just as we human beings have been itching (in some cases literally) to see our favorite hairdresser and come out of a salon looking like our best selves, so too have our wonderful, furry friends.

As the State of Michigan continues to ease restrictions on businesses that are allowed to operate again, pet groomers were able to reopen their businesses on Thursday, June 4 to the happy howls of dogs and cats all across Michigan.

If your dog or cat is in need of a little TLC, here are some great pet groomers that are now taking clients in Metro Detroit.

Scrubbers

With three locations in Royal Oak, West Bloomfield, and Rochester Hills, Scrubbers serves Metro Detroit with professional pet grooming services, as well as self-serve dog washing stations. Having only recently reopened, Scrubbers has instituted temporary operating procedures to protect its clients and its staff. For example, they are asking all clients to wear a mask when dropping off or bringing in their dog. Some of the locations won’t allow any clients inside. For a full breakdown of operating procedures, visit Scrubbers website.

Adventure starts with a vehicle that’s up for anything. Trailblazer combines comfort you want, the versatility you need, and the technology to make every moment count.

LC’s Mobile Pet Spa

Providing grooming services in your home, LC’s Mobile Pet Spa has been improving the quality of life for Metro Detroit pets since 2012. They offer baths, ear cleanings, nail clippings, towel drying, and even a bow or bandana to every pet they treat. As they have been unable to take clients during the pandemic, they say on their Facebook page that they need to work through their backlog of appointments. There is a waitlist, however, and appointments can be scheduled through email.

Owned and operated by Brian lane, Bingo Pet Salon in Royal Oak provides dog and cat grooming services with variable rates depending on the size of your pet. Bingo also operates a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called Bingo Cares, which provides free grooming services to animals in shelters and rescue centers. They are taking appointments for June but clients must adhere to their social distancing guidelines.

Pet Spa Grooming

Over in Plymouth, Pet Spa Grooming started taking clients on June 12. They are utilizing their own set of social distancing guidelines that customers must adhere to, such as only one client in their building at a time and the requirement to wear a face mask. They can provide several pet grooming services, ranging from a full spa treatment to a simple nail trimming. Appointments can be made over the phone or via their Facebook page.

Good Groomer

Good Groomer provides haircuts, full grooming, nail trimming, and more to pets of all sizes. This Livonia-based pet groomer is also following social distancing guidelines by meeting clients in Good Groomer’s lobby to retrieve their pet. Only one client may be in the lobby at a time and masks will be required by staff and clients.
