Wyandotte was first founded as a village in 1854 and then incorporated as the second city in Wayne County exactly 12 years later. It is a town flush with scenic views of the Detroit River, more than 150 years of history, and unique shops, restaurants and other attractions.

Speaking of that 150-year history, much of it is cataloged at the Wyandotte Museum on Biddle Avenue. Located in the beautifully maintained George P. MacNichol House, itself a historical landmark, the Wyandotte Museum features artifacts, documents and more across four levels (including a recently renovated basement that houses an exhibit featuring soundscapes, timelines and more). Plan a tour at the Museum Thursday through Sunday between April and January.

Running along Wyandotte’s east side is the Detroit River. With a clear view of the water, it’s perfect for a walk or run on a warm, sunny day. Locals also use the space for picnics, fishing, biking or just to watch the ships go by.

With best-in-class cargo space, top of the line safety features, and cutting edge technology, the Chevy Suburban is perfect for any family. See the Suburban's available features that can keep up with your family's lifestyle.

In the hub of Wyandotte, you’ll find tons of shops and restaurants, like the Wine Dotte Bistro, which features a wide selection of wine and a menu that’s sure to have something that’ll catch your eye. If you have a taste for authentic Mexican cuisine, head straight to Angelina’s Mexican Restaurant. Check them out on Tuesdays for Margarita and Taco Tuesdays!

The Silver Ballroom Cafe & Pinball Lounge and Joe’s Hamburgers located directly next door to each other and complement each other well. After a quick bite at Joe’s, head next door to The Silver Ballroom for music and a few games of pinball with friends.

Detroit staple Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe and all of its wonderful sweets is right here in Wyandotte, too! The first Sanders store was opened in 1875 by Fred Sanders Schmidt in Detroit. The name and quality treats have lived on today. Be warned: one look at these chocolates and you’ll find yourself walking out with a few of your own.

Whether you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy yourself or want to explore more of southeast Michigan history, Wyandotte is filled with opportunities. With it being just a short drive from the Motor City, what are you waiting for?
