The Motor City New Year’s Eve drop is free and will be happening right in Downtown Detroit. Enjoy the whimsical decorations surrounding the area, along with food, drinks, live entertainment, fire pits, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more. This event starts at 4:30 p.m. with kid-friendly New Year’s Eve festivities starting at 6:30 p.m., featuring a Kids Zone. Then the adult fun begins at midnight.
Grab the kids and ring in the New Year at Harry Potter & the Holiday Skate. The event will take place at Riley Park Ice Rink from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and features a costume contest, along with a ball drop at 9 p.m. The second ball drop for adults will be at midnight. Tickets are $10.
Join Paradise Park in Novi from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for an NYE Kids Countdown. Tickets are required and include laser tag, a pizza buffet, unlimited pop, party favors, a coloring contest, and the balloon drop at 2 p.m. Tickets are $23.95 for children over 8 years old and $20.95 for those 8 years old and under.

Let the good times roll at the Classic Lanes New Year’s Eve Rock & Bowl party. Party times are available in the afternoon, early evening, and late night for guests to choose from, with the first starting at 12 p.m. and the last ending at 1:30 a.m. Registration is required and includes all-you-can-bowl for up to six guests, shoes, one large pizza, one pitcher of soft drink, party favors, door prizes, giveaways, and more.
Take a visit to the Troy Community Center from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a night of basketball, swimming, goodie bags, and more. Entry is $6 for Troy residents and $8 for non-residents and will be collected at the door.
