Picture this: a nice weekend with your sweetie without any of the distractions of everyday life. Mudgie’s Deli and Wine Shop

Mudgie’s Deli and Wine Shop serves lunch from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and has some of the best deli lunches around. Their sandwiches are massive and delicious and the rotating menu of soups is not to be missed.

Casual and delicious, Green Dot Stables is a great place for a satisfying and comforting lunch. Check out their extensive list of sliders which are perfect for getting a few and sharing.

Dinner

Lumen

It’s all about the atmosphere at Lumen being situated in Beacon Park downtown. Choose to sit inside the dining room, at the bar, or outdoors on the patio and enjoy some small plates together.

Marrow

If you like surprises, then book yourself a reservation at Marrow. Their menu is constantly changing and rarely posted anywhere, but it’s delicious every single time.

Things to Do

Spend the day wandering around at the Detroit Institute of Arts. There’s plenty to see and there are new events on their calendar all the time to check out.  

If you love live entertainment, look into getting tickets for a show at The Fisher Theatre, The Fox Theatre, or the Detroit Opera House. There is always something happening at least one of the venues from concerts to musicals to comedians. Whether you want to take planning into your own hands or participated in an organized event, walking the Dequindre Cut or the Riverwalk on a beautiful day is a great way to get some exercise and spend quality time together.
