There’s nothing quite like spending a weekend with your best girlfriends. But let’s be honest, getting away with adult friends can be a challenge with everyone’s conflicting schedules and commitments. But what if I told you that Detroit is the perfect place to spend a weekend with your girlfriends? There is so much to experience and staying close to home keeps things cost-effective. Here are some ideas of where to stay and what to do for a girls’ weekend in downtown Detroit.

Things to Do

Explore various parts of the city to do some shopping. Eastern Market is a fun place to wander around, especially when the weekend market is in full swing. Head to Canfield Street to check out Shinola, Third Man Records, City Bird, and others. Finally, swing over to New Center to browse at Urbanum and Ferne
