Located in Downtown Berkley, Reware Vintage offers a carefully curated collection of vintage apparel and memorabilia. “Reware Vintage transports shoppers back to the 70s, 80s, and 90s with rare and nostalgic items inspired by music and pop culture,” shares owner Bethany Nixon. “Our storefront is now three years old and full of hot items – rare band T-shirts, nostalgic 80s & 90s sweatshirts, coveted vintage American-made 100% cotton jeans, original posters and pop culture items, Detroit sports memorabilia, and more.” Going beyond the shopping, Reware Vintage is a community space where retro enthusiasts can connect. The shop hosts in-store concerts featuring local bands on select weekends and supports sustainability efforts with a $10 T-shirt rack that raises funds for climate change initiatives. “T-shirts are this thing we all wear every day, and for many of us, our T-shirts are some of our most favorite possessions,” Nixon explains. “The artwork, the meaning, and the history behind these shirts… they are more than just clothes.” With a passion for preserving stories, Nixon actively buys vintage clothing and memorabilia, encouraging those with special items to reach out. “One of my favorite things is to hear the stories behind these clothes from the original owners, and pass it along to the people who buy them from us.”
