Attention, local music aficionados! The 2013 Metro Times Blowout is back and better than ever this year—not to mention bigger. Unlike preceding years, the 16th annual Blowout will span not one but two weekends, packed with even more bands.

Blowout will be held in Detroit on Thursday, April 25; in Hamtramck on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27; and in Ferndale on Thursday, May 2 through Saturday, May 4.

With over 5,000 Metro Detroiters in attendance each year, the Metro Times Blowout is one of the largest events of its kind in the U.S. The 2013 lineup features numerous local bands and musicians with insurmountable talent, including Amy Gore & Her Valentines, Child Bite, Sponge, The Kickstand Band, The HandGrenades, Knife and more.

Tickets are available in two formats: a Gig Pass or Tour Pass. For $20, the Gig Pass gets you three nights worth of shows and entrance into one weekend of the festival, either Detroit and Hamtramck or Ferndale.

The Tour Pass costs $35 and guarantees you six nights of entertainment, as well as admission to both weekends of the festival, including all dates in Detroit, Hamtramck and Ferndale.

Take note, these prices are valid through Friday, April 26 only. After then, they’re going to increase, so jump on this quick! Unfortunately, individual day passes aren’t being offered, but with so many great local musicians for your eyes and ears to take in, why would you want one?

The 2013 Metro Times Blowout is open to music fans ages 18 and up. For more information, including the full line-up and ticket pick up information, please visit http://blowout.metrotimes.com.
