Metro Detroit has a robust music scene with plenty of rising musicians, great venues, and eager fans willing to show their support. It’s no wonder that you can always find fun and interesting concerts to go to any week of the year in Metro Detroit. To help make your choices a little easier, here are some upcoming concerts we’re eager to check out in the coming weeks!

Great Good Fine Ok (1/20)

Hitting the stage at El Club on Monday, January 20th will be Great Good Fine Ok. The New York City duo brings their signature synthpop grooves to their fourth studio album, appropriately titled “GGFOUR.” Los Angeles singer/songwriter Aaron Taos will provide support. 

Black Pumas (1/22)

Another duo coming to Metro Detroit this month is the funk and soul act, Black Pumas. The Austin based musicians released their self-titled debut album last June and was nominated at this year’s Grammy Awards for Best New Artist. The show will take place at Saint Andrew’s Hall on Wednesday, January 22nd and will feature an opening performance from Seratones.

Cold War Kids (1/28)

The Majestic Theatre will welcome the popular indie rock band, Cold War Kids, to their stage on Tuesday, January 28th. The quartet is promoting their seventh studio album, “New Age Norms,” which is set to be the first of a trilogy of new albums. Overcoats, an up-and-coming duo, will provide support.

The Picturebooks (1/30)

Ferndale’s Loving Touch will play host to German rockers, The Picturebooks, on Thursday, January 30th. The alternative blues duo is promoting their new album, “The Hands of Time,” with Warhorses and Werewolves also hitting the stage. Advanced tickets can be purchased at The WAB without service fees prior to the day of the show. 

The Used (2/4)

The Used has been a prominent name in rock for nearly 20 years and they’ll return to Detroit with a performance at Saint Andrew’s Hall on Tuesday, February 4th. Fans have a lot to look forward to as the band has recorded their next studio album, which is due out early this year and is said to be a return to their original sound from their earliest albums. Seattle alternative rockers Dragged Under will provide support.
