Michigan musicians will hit the virtual stage on Election Night, November 3 as part of the I Voted Festival.
The festival will feature free performances from numerous local musicians such as A War Within, Jukebox the Ghost, The Messenger Birds, The Accidentals, Of Virtue and many more. In order to get access to these virtual concerts, guests must RSVP on the festival’s website and then upload a selfie from outside their polling place or at home with a blank ballot. After guests RSVP on the site, all they have to do is share the selfie on Instagram or Facebook and tag @IVotedFestival.
Guests can also gain access to other stages that will feature more nationally recognized talent such as Billie Ellish, MGMT, Theory of a Deadman and Amy Lee and Troy McLawnhorn of Evanescence.
This is the second I Voted Festival after the 2018 event featured over 150 venues in 37 states. The coronavirus pandemic forced the event to go strictly online with artists performing via webcast. One of the local acts performing on November 3 will be soul-pop singer Jacob Sigman. Sigman grew up as a lover of Motown music and idolized legends like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. He brings that soul to his debut album, Color Coded Heart. Sigman released one song a month for the past 12 months on his social media channels, and he recently put it together for a full-length album. Sigman said that he’s excited to use his music as a way to encourage people to vote and participate in elections. “I believe it’s all of our duty as Americans to get involved in this election. I wanted to do everything in my power to make sure as many people as possible make their voice heard this November,” Sigman said. “Everyone should go to iwillvote.com and make their plan to participate.” You can find the full list of performers and more information on this year’s I Vote Festival on the event’s website and Instagram page. Also be sure to visit Jacob Sigman’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitch pages for the latest content releases and updates.
