MARCH 25 – Your Detroit City Football Club makes its home field debut as they face off against the Indy 11 at Keyworth Stadium.

Le Rouge is back following an off-season packed with key player acquisitions, refreshed kit designs, and the anticipation of a cult-like fanbase that proves – beyond any shadow of a doubt – that soccer holds firm roots here in the Motor City.

Captain Stephen Carroll, along with stars Nate Steinwscher and Maxi Rodriguez continue to lead the charge as the franchise enters the ‘23 season intent on giving its fans a season to remember. New players among the likes of Ben Morris, Jalen Robinson, Adrian Billhardt, Richard Ballard, and Skage Simonsen add additional depth to a roster that has improved year over year, coinciding with the elevation of the team’s USL status in 2022.

Located in the heart of Hamtramck, Keyworth Stadium once held host to presidential addresses. Today, it’s known for the fanatic following that cheers on Le Rouge to the sounds of banging drums and raunchy chanting, and the perpetual haze of smoke guns emanating from the bleachers. Those who attend often find that while the action plays out on the pitch, the excitement is equally attributed to the die-hard supporters that transform the game into something for more communal.

Brighten every journey with the Chevy Blazer, perfect for family adventures and unforgettable moments with its bold design and spacious interior.

Perhaps part of that is owed to the seemingly endless sea of official DCFC apparel worn by nearly every fan in attendance. Make no mistake – there is no professional sports team in Metro Detroit whose fans commit so fully, so aesthetically, to the cause.

This year, Le Rouge has released a new series of gameday kits that will be present both on the field and in the fan section. Boasting the Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers emblem across the chest, the classic maroon and gold jerseys have been upgraded to feature a subtle horizontal stripe pattern, along with gold bars along the sides.

For their away kit, the team has introduced a white and verdigris version – a green color inspired by the iconic oxidation on The Spirit of Detroit statue. Both jerseys, along with additional apparel and accessories, are available for purchase at every home match and on the online shop.

This season will feature several keynote moments in addition to next Saturday’s home opener. On July 19th, Le Rouge will face off against Louisville City FC in a game broadcast on ESPN 2. That game will also serve as the team’s annual Youth Night.

No doubt, this will be a DCFC season for the books! For tickets, schedule info, and community engagement visit the official Detroit City FC website.
