Race fans; mark your calendars from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31 as the 2015 edition of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix returns to the Motor City. Cars from the Verizon IndyCar Series, the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and the Pirelli World Challenge Series, as well as trucks from SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road, are all set to compete.

The event takes place at The Raceway at Belle Isle Park, which is a 2.3-mile road course.  Several options are available for single day tickets, which range in price from $25 to $80 for adults and $15 to $65 for children. There are also multi-day ticket packages available, with a free roundtrip shuttle service provided to Belle Isle from Downtown Detroit. These packages include the 3-Day Super Ticket ($175 for adults, $130 for children), the 2-Day Grandstand Ticket ($130 for adults, $95 for children) and more.

Your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers are excited to sponsor the Sports Car Classic, which is one of many events unfolding during the weekend of the Grand Prix. The full schedule details each event of the three-day extravaganza, but here are some of the highlights you won’t want to miss.

Public parking for the Grand Prix is not available on Belle Isle, but as mentioned earlier, there is a shuttle service and a list of suggested parking locations. Shuttle passengers will be picked up and dropped off at the Cooper Standard Transportation Center on Belle Isle. The Shuttle runs from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, or until all guests are accommodated.

That should just about cover the basics. Bring your friends and family and enjoy hearing the rev of the engines, feeling the wind hit your face and seeing some of the best drivers in the world. This event only comes around once a year, so don’t be the one to miss out!
