It is evident there are events going on every hour, and if watching races is not your forte, there is also live entertainment, autograph sessions, auctions, food vendors and more. This is an event the whole family can enjoy. You can also volunteer to work the event, if you are interested.
Public parking for the Grand Prix is not available on Belle Isle, but as mentioned earlier, there is a shuttle service and a list of suggested parking locations. Shuttle passengers will be picked up and dropped off at the Cooper Standard Transportation Center on Belle Isle. The Shuttle runs from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, or until all guests are accommodated.
That should just about cover the basics. Bring your friends and family and enjoy hearing the rev of the engines, feeling the wind hit your face and seeing some of the best drivers in the world. This event only comes around once a year, so don’t be the one to miss out!
