Baseball season is well under way and our beloved Tigers are off to a blazing hot start. Metro Detroit is buzzing with warm spring temperatures, sunshine, seasonal beer and, of course, baseball fever. The Tigers won’t be back in town until Friday afternoon, but the good news is that several local bars offer drink or food specials during games—home or away!

We can’t all make it to every game—there are far too many—but going to grab a few brews while watching the game with your friends or family is also a sure bet for a good time. These fine establishments listed below provide great deals, either during the game or just as daily specials.

24 Seconds, 3071 W. 12 Mile Rd., Berkley, is a great spot for Detroit sports. The bar offers an extensive food menu and great drink specials. It also has 24 high-definition televisions and 24 beers on tap. Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Light bottles/cans cost a mere $2.50 when the Tigers are playing. The restaurant also runs shuttle buses to Comerica Park occasionally. The next shuttle event runs on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. For $37, fans get dinner, a drink and a ride to and from the game, or fans can just opt for a ride to the park and back for $27.

Coach’s Corner Bar and Grill, 19170 Farmington Rd., Livonia, offers great food specials during Tigers games. Wings at $0.50 a piece, $1 hot dogs and $1 Coney dogs are available. Of course, there is a full menu loaded with tons of options if none of that sounds appealing. In addition, there are daily specials for food and beer throughout the week, such as $2.00 off of all burgers on Tuesdays or all you can eat fish and chips for $13.99 on Fridays. The Beer of the Month is $3.50 all day, every day, and happy hour goes from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Adventure starts with a vehicle that’s up for anything. Trailblazer combines comfort you want, the versatility you need, and the technology to make every moment count.

The Detroiter Bar, 655 Beaubien St., Detroit, is a great spot to go to watch the Tigers. While it doesn’t have specific specials on game days, it does have everyday specials such as $7.25 pitchers of beer, and a burger and a beer combo for $9.50. The Detroiter Bar’s burger is a favorite among locals. In addition, the bar offers a free shuttle to Comerica Park for home games. Check out the menu if you’re interested.

Score’s Bar & Grill, 24365 Halsted Rd., Farmington Hills, prides itself on being a great place to watch all sporting events. During Tigers games, it offers hot dogs for $1.50. It also has daily drink and food specials, such as $2.50 domestic bottles on Mondays, or $1 tacos on Tuesdays. The menu offers burgers, wraps, appetizers and much more. Score’s also features live music on Thursday nights! With the weather warming up, patrons can start to take advantage of the outdoor patio as well.

Tap at MGM Grand Detroit, 1777 3rd St., Detroit, has more than 50 draft and bottled beers and more than 40 high-definition TVs. In addition, it has daily specials Sunday through Friday, perfect for watching some baseball. MI Craft Monday includes $4 pints and $12 pitchers of Michigan craft beer, Wing Night Wednesday offers $0.50 wings and Fantastic Fridays offers $5 flights of beer and $5 for a plank of sliders. Most of these go from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., so it is advised to go when the Tigers are scheduled to play a mid-afternoon game.

The Tigers are looking great early on, but the baseball season is a marathon, not a sprint. Let the aforementioned bars, or your local bar, take care of everything you need while watching our favorite baseball team. As always, be safe and go Tigers!
