Discover new horizons with the confidence of the Chevy Silverado, from busy streets to scenic views.
Living in a digital world forces us to spend a lot of time interacting with screens. But there’s something so incredibly comforting about feeling paper between your fingers. Holding a book and turning the pages is a far different experience from tapping away on an e-reader. Receiving a thank you card in the mail brings far more joy than opening an email. That’s why stationery and book stores need our support now more than ever. The next time you’re looking for a new book to read or need to send a card in the mail, check out one of these local stationery and book stores in Metro Detroit. You might even end up leaving with more than you thought you needed.

Melissa Walsh, Member-Owner of Book Suey, says, “Our tagline is ‘Community for Book Enthusiasts,’ which sums up who we are. We love books and enjoy offering a space for community to those who also love books. Book Suey is a bookstore cooperative of 12 member-owners. We share responsibility in store operations, such as managing inventory, keeping the space clean and tidy, and helping visitors find books on our shelves or by special order. We also host author events, book clubs, and writing workshops. We’re living out the dream of owning a bookstore. I enjoy chatting with the book lovers who come in to browse and shop, or just hang out.
