DETROIT COCKTAIL CLASSIC

Eastern Market Shed 3

2934 Russell Street, Detroit

Detroit loves its cocktails. From local dives to world-renowned speakeasies, the city has gained repute as one of the nation’s most creative, passionate drinking cities. Maybe it is due to our surplus of locally produced, top-shelf distilled spirits. Maybe it’s thanks to the bartenders themselves  – or rather, mixologists – who dedicate their careers to the mastery of unique flavor profiles and artful presentation – and look so good while they do it. At this year’s Detroit Cocktail Classic, you can see for yourself.

Explore Metro Detroit in a vehicle built for discovery. Chevy Equinox combines sleek looks, maximum comfort and cutting edge entertainment to navigate your city in style.

The annual event will take place Friday, October 6 in Detroit’s historic Eastern Market. It’s a celebration of the city’s vibrant hospitality industry, but even more so, a toast to the institutions that elevate the scene to new heights and raise the bar for cocktails of all kinds.

Each participating establishment creates and offers a signature drink while competing for titles like Best in Show, Best Cocktail, Best Dressed Bartender, Best Display, and more. A $65 General Admission ticket will afford the opportunity to sample ten signature libations. An $85 VIP ticket will get you another five drinks, plus admission an hour earlier.

This year’s event will feature individual bars, restaurants, and brands, with more being added. Current participants include Alpino Detroit, Apartment Disco, Bar Pigalle, BARDA Detroit, Basan Detroit, Black on Both Sides, Cafe Sous Terre, Castalia, Cibo Modern Mediterranean, Club Jovonnes, Deluxx Fluxx, Detroit City Distillery, Giovanni’s Ristorante, Grey Ghost Detroit, Highlands Detroit, Host Utica, Kiesling Detroit, Mutiny Bar, Oak & Reel, Second Best Detroit, Shelby Detroit, Sidecar Bartending, Stadt Garten, Takoi, The Congregation, The Skip, The Vault Downtown Fenton, The Townsend Hotel, Willow Detroit, and more. The diverse roster of participants represents the incredible variety that exists within Detroit’s food and beverage industry.
